PEP小学英语五年级上册Unit2 PartB Let's talk 教学设计
一、教学目标
1.语言技能目标:学生能够掌握描述他/她正在做的事情的句
型,以及询问别人正在做什么的句型。
2.情感态度目标:培养学生正确的语言交际意识,激发学生的
学习兴趣。
3.学习策略目标:让学生从实际生活中学习,发现规律,联想
记忆,巩固所学内容。
二、教学重难点
1.重点:学生能够掌握描述他/她正在做的事情的句型,以及
询问别人正在做什么的句型。
2.难点:掌握句型的运用,表达流畅自然。
三、教学准备
1. PPT、图片、小黑板、书本、单词卡片、小游戏及小奖品等。
2. 一些需要让学生使用的东西或道具,例如:水杯、纸巾、笔、
橡皮、钥匙、手机、玩具等。
四、教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greetings and self-introduction.
T: Good morning, boys and girls. How are you today?
Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And you?
T: I’m fine too, thank you. Today we will learn Unit 2 Part B Let's
talk in PEP Primary English Grade 5. Are you ready?
Ss: Yes.
2. Show some pictures on the PPT, ask and answer in pairs about
what people are doing in these pictures.
T: Look at these pictures on the screen. What do you think these
people are doing? Please talk with your partner.
3. Introduce some words and phrases with pictures and actions.
T: Now I’m going to show you some words and phrases with
pictures and actions. Please repeat after me.
Read the book. Open your book, and pretend to read.
Draw a picture. Use your hand to draw in the air.
Do homework. Use your hand to write on the air.
Clean the room. Pretend to sweep the floor.
Cook dinner. Pretend to hold a pot in your hand and stir it.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Introduce the dialogue by showing the pictures.
T: Now let’s watch a video about what the kids are doing. What
are they doing? Let’s have a guess.
Ss: They are making a kite、they are cleaning the room、they are
cooking dinner、they are doing homework.
T: OK, let’s watch the video and check if our guesses are right.

2. Play a guessing game using pictures.
T: I’ve prepared some pictures which show things people do in
their daily life. Please work in pairs, and try to guess what’s
happening in each picture. You can ask questions in this way: Are
you doing your homework?
Step 3: Practice
1. Role play.
T: Do you know how to ask someone what they are doing? Please
watch again, and then we’ll do a role play.

T: Now please work in pairs. One of you is A, and the other is B.
A asks B what he or she is doing, and B answers. Then they
change the roles. OK, let’s start.
2. Picture dictation.
T: I have some pictures here. Please listen carefully and draw what
I say.
→Show the pictures and dictate the sentences.
3. Game time.
T: Now let’s play a game called “What’s missing?” I have some
words on the blackboard, and I’m going to erase one. Please see if
you can guess which word is missing. If you do, you’ll get a prize.

Step 4: Production
1. Show and tell.
T: We’ll have a “Show and Tell” time. You can bring something
from home and describe it. Use the sentences we learned today.
For example, I’m showing my phone. I can say: I’m holding my
phone. I’m using my phone to call my friend.
2. Homework.
T: For homework, please draw a picture of what you are doing
now, and write two sentences to describe it.
五、教学反思
本次教学通过多种方式来呈现所学内容,如观看视频、猜词游
戏、角色扮演等,有目的地促进学生注意力集中,对所学任务
感到乐趣和兴趣;在词语的学习上,通过肢体语言和形象化的
方式,引导学生加深对词汇的记忆,同时扩大了学生的视野,
并探索了以图片为中心的教学手段。此外,本次教学中,也重
视学生的交流能力发展,让学生通过Show and Tell来展示自
己的所学,进一步培养他们的口语表达能力。整个教学活动设
计流畅、富有趣味性。虽然整个教学过程量不是很多,但是目
的明确,任务明晰,让学生在快乐中掌握了基础知识。
