) fell into the

well. The boys looked into the well and thought of their father. They were afraid to go home.

Hours passed. "Where are those boys?" shouted the angry father. "They are probably playing a

game and have forgotten about the water. I wish they were all turned into ravens (

乌鸦

) !"And when

he looked up, he saw seven black birds flying away. The father was shocked. "What have I done?”

he thought. But it was too late. He could not take back(

Later, the girl grew up and found out she had brothers. The story of their bad luck influenced

her deeply, and she decided to find them. For years, she searched and did not stop. She made up her

mind to find them. Finally, she found their home. To enter, she needed a special key made from a

chicken bone, which she did not have. The girl thought for a moment, and then took a knife and cut

off one of her fingers. With it, she opened the front door and went inside. On a table, there were

seven plates and seven cups. She ate and drank a little from each of them. In the last cup, she

If you live in Shanghai, you might have to take a “lesson” in sorting(

分类

) garbage (

垃圾

) ,

as the city recently introduced new garbage-sorting regulations (

条例

). It’s now required that

people should sort garbage into four kinds, namely recyclable, harmful, dry and wet waste.

However, if people fail to sort their garbage properly, they can be fined up to 200 yuan.

More cities are introducing similar regulations, following the practice in Shanghai. By the

end of 2020, garbage-sorting systems will have been built in 46 major Chinese cities, including

Beijing and Shenzhen, reported People’s Daily. According to a study, over 90 percent of the

public believe that garbage sorting is important for the protection of the environment. However,

garbage sorting is still a big problem in China. Only 30 percent of participants(

受访者

) said they

think they are fully(

完全地

) sorting their rubbish. In the past, some

previous

garbage regulations

didn’t give clear fines(

罚款

) for people who failed to sort garbage. “It’s a must to have a legal

guarantee(

) to improve garbage sorting,” Liu Jianguo, a professor from Tsinghua

University(

清华大学

), told China Daily.

B. Work hard and you will be happy.

D. Think carefully about what to say.

Japan, waste sorting has become a basic survival skill. There is a fixed time for treating each kind

of garbage, and littering(

乱扔垃圾

) can result(

导致

) in high fines and even prison time.

In Germany too, people are asked to sort waste into specific kinds. In Berlin(

柏林

), there

are black bins for kitchen waste and brown bins for organic waste(

有机废物

), yellow bins for

plastic and metals(

金属制品

) and blue bins for paper and cardboard.

66. In which country has waste sorting become a basic survival skill according to the article?

previous

” means .

A. black bins B. brown bins C. yellow bins D. blue bins

69. Which sentence is NOT TRUE according to the article?
