My Favorite Place is Chongqing!

Hi friends! Today I want to tell you about my favorite city,

Chongqing. It's the coolest place ever! Chongqing is a huge city

with lots of tall buildings and bridges. But the best part is all the

fun things to see and do!

First, there's the Yangtze River. It's a massive river that winds

through the city. You can take a cruise boat and see the beautiful

scenery along the riverbanks. The water is so wide, it's like an

ocean! Sometimes you even see fishermen on little wooden

boats.

Then there are the two famous bridges – the Chaotianmen

Bridge and the Egongyan Bridge. They are super tall and cross

over the Yangtze River. The Chaotianmen Bridge is shaped like a

twisting ribbon and has this awesome glass skywalk where you

can walk across and look down! It's a little scary but so much fun.

The Egongyan Bridge is the tallest steel arch bridge in the world.

It's massive!

Another amazing place is the Dazu Rock Carvings. These are

thousands of incredible sculptures and carvings chiseled into the

rock faces of mountains and cliffs. The carvings show people,

animals, buildings and all kinds of scenes from Buddhist stories.

Some of them are over 1,000 years old! It's like an outdoor

museum carved into the rocks. You could spend days exploring

all the different sites.

I also love going to Ciqikou. It's an old town with buildings

from the Ming and Qing dynasties, like 300-400 years ago. The

streets are made of stone and there are little shops and

restaurants everywhere selling traditional snacks and crafts. It

feels like you've gone back in time! You can try yummy local

foods like zhong shui you (a kind of flatbread) and tang cu niu

rou (beef stew). Mmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about

it!

The best part about Chongqing is the super spicy food

though. Chongqing is famous for its hot pot and ultra-spicy

dishes. The hot pot has a bright red broth made with tons of

chilies and Sichuan peppercorns. You cook all kinds of meat,

vegetables, noodles and dumplings right in the boiling pot. It's

so flavorful and kicks your taste buds awake! I love dipping the

food in different sauce bowls too with ingredients like sesame
