Honorable Chairman Huang Ningsheng, Distinguished leaders,

Board members, distinguished guests, teachers, dear students,

parents, colleagues and friends:

I am very glad to get together on this special day to share

the excitement of the graduates. Today is an unforgettable day

for me, too.

When I was young, I learned the value of being grateful

through the war of poverty and sickness. Today, we have

countless reasons to be grateful. Let's thank our teachers and

parents with thunderous applause. Most importantly, I hope you

all applaud shantou University, she will always be a part of

our life.

The students who graduated from shantou university with the

belief of creative self-improvement into the world, have the

courage to transcend the level of struggle, break through the

maze of fate, the limited into infinite, repel the spread of

mediocrity and arrogance, the construction of hope, reshape the

world.

The environment is not a cage. In all walks of life, you

have the practical power to combine the advantages of

technology,modernization and industrialization into something

new. You have checked your eyesight and know how to keep track

of common sense changes and identify obstacles. Face the choice,

master advance and retreat, calm.

You are the lucky ones with the ability to follow your

dreams. What does time look like to you? Is shantou University's

concept of "establishing self and pursuing no self" important

to you? Amid all the "be good" and "do good" slogans, an

egocentric person sees the world differently than a genuinely

genuine person. People who are super attractive often ask

themselves, 'Am I Prince Charming or Prince Charming? Are you

the star of glamour and efficacy, or the loudmouth and problem

maker?

In the modern environment, new challenges are difficult to

follow. Wandering in the dead end of mediocrity is a waste of

resources with half results. Only by exploring different

methods can we find valuable variables.

The key to self-building is humility, humility and humility.

Humility is restorative, invigorating, an inoculation against

hypocrisy,arrogance and hubris syndrome. Thoughtful,

intelligent and humble people are problem solvers with the

measurement and long-term ability to deal with complex

pressures, realizing that their perspective is not the only

viable option. Humble people are always curious and open-minded.

Self-mastery is a recipe for fulfilling life.

For those who aspire to change the world, it is as important

to have substance, conscience as it is to have talent. Will your

leadership serve that vision? Your depth and breadth determine

whether you are the problem solver or the problem itself.

Distinguish you as an angel who inspires others; Or to impose

subjectively on others.

Some people think that at my age, time is no longer

directionless, time is now.

Looking up at the starry sky at night makes me understand

the smallness of people. On the long road, I feel frustrated

and powerless at many times. But for tomorrow, I will still put

on my war clothes to think, feel and act.

Dear students and alumni, 38 years ago, shantou University

was founded in a desolate field. Although it was ridiculed as

a foolish old man moving mountains, I firmly believe that only

by promoting educational reform can our original promise be

fulfilled.

I want to thank my friends who have supported me and made

me not feel lonely on this lonely and passionate road. Every

time I come to Shantou, the smiling faces and love of my

classmates are my eternal encouragement.

After today, I will step down as honorary president of

Shantou University, and the mission of promoting education

reform in our beloved land will be passed on to Richard Li and

my colleagues in the Foundation. Empathy,generosity of

conscience,is a choice,satisfaction of all kinds,unspeakable.

Together, we can dream bigger dreams.

Looking ahead, I always look forward with hope to what YOU

can achieve in the future. Life with reason, morality and

integrity, committed to bring dignity and opportunity to the

world, "build self, pursue no self", live a truly successful

life.

Let me once again offer encouragement to all students: "You

have been proud of us this year, and we will be proud of you

tomorrow."
