Two Very Different Dogs

Hi there! My name is Tommy and I'm going to tell you all

about two dogs that I know really well. They're super different

from each other in almost every way. One dog is big and the

other is little. One is super energetic and the other loves to lazy

around all day. But I love them both a whole lot!

The first dog is my dog Rufus. Rufus is a huge German

Shepherd that weighs almost as much as me! He's got a thick

brown and black fur coat and looks kind of scary with his big

teeth and serious face. But I know he's just a big teddy bear on

the inside. Rufus loves to run and play and has tons of energy.

We have to take him on really long walks every single day or he

gets restless.

Every morning, Rufus jumps up on my bed and licks my face

to wake me up. He's so excited for his morning walk that he can

barely contain himself. He runs around in circles wagging his tail

and I have to get dressed super fast. Then we head out for an

hour-long power walk around the neighborhood. Rufus pulls me

along the whole way because he's so strong and wants to go

even faster than I can walk.

After our walk, Rufus is ready to just chill for a little while. He

lays down on his big doggy bed and I give him a chewy bone to

gnaw on. But he only rests for a little bit before he's antsy to go

out and play again. We take Rufus to the dog park almost every

day to really get his energy out. As soon as we get there, he takes

off running around chasing všetjct dogs and sniffing every single

inch of the place. The dog park is the highlight of Rufus's day for

sure.

In the evenings after the park, Rufus is finally pretty tired.

He'll curl up on the couch with me and my parents to watch a

movie or TV show. But he's never too tired for playtime if I want

to play tug-of-war with one of his ropes! Rufus could play tug all

night if I let him. By bedtime, he's usually completely zonked out

from his super active day.

Now let me tell you about the second dog, Biscuit. Biscuit is

my grandmother's dog and he's a tiny little Chihuahua - no

bigger than a cotton ball! He's gotwiry tan fur and these crazy

bulgy eyes that make him look permanently surprised. Biscuit

couldn't be more different from my dog Rufus if he tried.
