阅读教学设计简案

1、Teaching Aims:

(1) Knowledge aim:

Students can master the main idea of the passage: the ways to learn English

(2) Ability aim:

By reading this passage, students can improve their reading ability of

skimming and scanning.

(3) Emotion aim:

Students can improve their confidence of learning English and cooperate with

other classmates actively.

2、Teaching key and difficult points:

(1) Teaching key point: Students can find the main idea of this passage.

(2) Teaching difficult point: Students can train their reading ability, and they can

talk about the topic in their daily life.

3、Teaching procedures:

Step 1 :Lead in

2mins

The teacher will play a video about learning methods and ask students

to share their learning methods with us ?

Step 2: Pre-reading (3mins)

The teacher will show the title of the passage(How I learned to learn English)and

ask students to guess what the passage talks about.

Step 3

While-reading (6mins)

The teacher will let students read the passage twice and do different

exercises.

a) Fast reading :The teacher asks students to read the passage quickly, ask

them to conclude the main idea of the passage and invite one student to

share his answer with check if their prediction is right.

b) Intensive reading: The teacher lets students read the text for the second time and

pay their attention to the details of the their second reading,the teacher

will invite some students to answer the following questions:

did she find it difficult to learn English?

2. What did she do in English class?

3. Why did she fall in love with the movie, Toy Story?

4. What is the secret to language learning?

5. Why does she want to learn new words and more grammar?

Step 4

Post-reading(4mins)

a) Students use the new words and phrases to fill in the teacher explains

the new words and phrases in the exercises.

b) Role play

In this situation:If you are a student and your partner is an English teacher.

Suppose you are having difficulties in learning English, then you ask your English

teacher for advice on more effective ways to

Step 5 Summary and homework

a) Ask students to summarize what they have learned in the class.

b) The teacher ask students to review the new words and expressions you've learned

today and try to use some effective ways in your English study after class.
