decline用法

decline的意思:

n. 下降；（力量、健康、品格、权力、价值等的）衰退；下倾；（人、生命等的）衰退期

vt.& vi. 辞谢，谢绝（邀请等）；

vi. （道路、物体等）下倾；（太阳）落下；（在品格、价值上）降低；衰落，谢绝

vt. 谢绝，婉拒；

decline的用法:

1、用作名词(n.)

There has been a sharp decline in profits this year.

今年的利润大幅度下降。

2、用作动词(v.)

用作不及物动词

We asked her to come to our party, but she declined.

我们请她来参加我们的晚会,但是她谢绝了。

用作及物动词

I declined his invitation.

我谢绝了他的邀请。
