"Help the Wildlife in Your Neighbourhood"
I. Teaching Objectives
1. Students will be able to understand and use key vocabulary related to wildlife
conservation.
2. Students will be able to express their thoughts and opinions on wildlife protection

3. Students will be able to discuss and brainstorm ways to help wildlife in their
neighbourhood.

III. Learning Situation Analysis
The students are at an intermediate level of English proficiency, with some basic
knowledge of wildlife conservation. They have a basic understanding of grammar
rules but may struggle with vocabulary usage and speaking fluency. They are also
encouraged to participate in discussions and express their own opinions.
IV. Teaching Process
1. Warmup (5 minutes):
Begin the class by asking students about their local wildlife or any interesting wildlife
encounters they've had. Encourage them to share their experiences and thoughts in
English.
2. Vocabulary Review (10 minutes):
Review key vocabulary related to wildlife conservation, such as "conservation",
"wildlife", "habitat", "endangered species", etc. Use flashcards or interactive quizzes
to reinforce learning.
3. Listening and Speaking Practice (15 minutes):
Play a short audio clip about wildlife conservation and ask students to listen carefully
and answer questions about what they heard. Then, divide students into small groups
and give them a scenario where they need to discuss ways to help wildlife in their
neighbourhood using the vocabulary learned earlier. Monitor their progress and
provide feedback as needed.
4. Group Presentation (15 minutes):
After the small group discussion, each group will present their ideas to the class. The
teacher can facilitate this process by asking probing questions or encouraging students
to clarify their points with one another.
5. Summary and Homework (5 minutes):
End the class by summarizing the main points covered and reminding students of the
importance of wildlife conservation. Assign homework, such as writing a short essay
on ways they can help protect wildlife in their neighbourhood, using the vocabulary
learned during the class.
