Ladies and Gentlemen, Good morning! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short
speech. Today my topic is Opportunities are only for the prepared mind.
A proverb says:” The chance will not come to only one opportunity to find.” We all know that
opportunity is very important, but we should also know that the most important is how to
Seize[si:z] the opportunity .
Opportunity is a very magic thing. He is like a thief [θi:f]. When he comes, we never feel it,
however, when he is gone, you will find you’ve lost lots of things. Only careful people can find it,
only if we seize the opportunity, can we have a chance to change our life and make us have a
brighter future.
Here I want to share a story with you. It's about the daughter of one of my mother's friends.
She wasn't a very good student at first and failed to go to a famous university. However, she didn't
give up and made a reasonable plan for her study in her university. During her university time, she
worked very hard and took part in a lot of activities. When she graduated, she got many
certificates。She went to an interview of a famous company and was very outstanding. Finally, she
got the chance and won other competitors[kəm'petitə]. If she didn't work hard in the university,
she would not got the opportunity.
We also know: "now or never." Our life is full of opportunities We say" Times produce their
heroes " , which can explain that opportunity influence a lot to one's.
However, the opportunity is equal to everyone. Some people catch it while some people
can’t ; Some people find it while some people ignore it; Some people are constantly creates
opportunities, some people are desperate for a chance. In fact, the opportunity can be created.
After a arduous struggle, opportunity will come.
Opportunities like neither idlers, nor riskier. Opportunity always be with hard-working
persons, who is perseverant and try hard for innovation. So, let's become a creator of opportunity,
and seize the opportunity, to master our own destiny.
