probably, possibly, perhaps, maybe 与likely
1)probably (probable adj)
Probably Ted ought to come down just in case anything happened.
I probably may get started on Sunday.
I think it is probable that I will have it ready by that time.
It’s possible, but hardly probable.
2)possibly (possible adj.)
多与情态动词can,could,
may,might及助动词will连用。
Can you possibly come?
I do not know how I can possibly thank you enough.
She couldn’t possibly have left without me.
He may possibly be there.
Possibly we’ll meet again soon.
What he says is true, possibly.
Perhaps they wouldn’t like our coming.
I thought perhaps it was the letter you’d been expecting.
Maybe we’ll see you tomorrow.
5)likely (likely adj.)
经常使用短语:be likely to do(…),这与possible和
She’s most likely very intelligent.
They very likely won’t come.
They’ll very likely come by car.
Are you likely to be in London this year?
It’s highly likely that he will succeed.
It isn’t likely that I should accept such an offer as that.
as…as one can/could
as …as one possibly can/could
as … as possible
as … as maybe
