How Bad Do You Want It

There was a young man who, you know, he wanted to make a lot of money,

and so he went to this Guru, right? He told the Guru, you know, "I wanna be on the

same level you are on."

曾经有一个年轻人,他想赚很多很多的钱!所以他找到了一位他视为偶像的大师,并告诉

大师说，我想和你一样成功

And so the Guru said, "If you wanna be on the same level I'm on, I'll meet you

tomorrow at the beach."

大师说,如果你真的这么想的话,那么明天早上来海滩见我吧!

So the young man got there 4 A.M., he already to rock n’ roll, got on a suit,

he shoulda wore shorts.

所以那个年轻人四点的时候就赶去了,穿得很体面，他本来应该穿着短裤!

The old man grabbed his hands and said, "How bad do you wanna be

successful?" He said, “Real bad.” He said, "Walk on out to the water."So he

walked out to the water.

大师走过来抓着他的手问:你有多想要成功呢?年轻人说:我真的很想!接着大师让他走

下水,所以他就这样走进海里!

Watch this. When he walked out to the water, he got his waist deep, so you like

this guy got crazy

注意了，当他走到水齐腰深的地方,他觉得这老头疯了。

Hey dude, I wanna make money, he got I in swimming. I didn't ask to be a

lifeguard. I wanna make money he got me in

年轻人心里想:我只想赚钱,他却只教我游泳!我可不想成为一个救生员!我只想赚钱!

so he said, "Come out a little farther!" – walked out a little farther – Then he

had it right around, it's this area – the shoulder area

大师察觉到了这一点!所以他就对年轻人说:再走远一点!然后年轻人就又走远了一些,这

时候水差不多已经淹到他的肩膀附近了!

So, "this old man crazy, he make money but he crazy."

年轻人心里想:这老家伙真是个疯子,他会赚钱但却是个疯子!

So, "Came out a little farther!" – came out a little farther. It was right at his

mouth – "My man, I'm not about to go back in, this guy is out of his mind."

而大师却就一直说:“再走远一点。”再远一点，他又往前挪了几步!这时水已经漫到了

他的嘴巴。“我还是回去吧，这算什么事嘛,这家伙一定已经疯了!”

So the old man said, "I thought you said you wanted to be successful?" He said,

"I do."

老人这时候说:“你告诉我你想要成功!”年轻人回答道:是的!

He said, “Walk a little further!” He came, dropped his head in, held him

down, holding him down, my man (kept in scratching) holding him down, he had

him held down. Just before my man was about to pass out, he raised him up.

大师说：“那就再走远一点。”这个时候大师走近年轻人,把他的头按到水里,再提起来,

再按到水里，不管他怎么使劲挣扎，老人死死按住他的头!就在年轻人快不行的时候,大师把

他拎了起来!

He said, "I got a question for you." He told the guy, he said, “When you want

to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful!”

老人说：“我就教你一句话.”他告诉年轻人:”当你对成功的渴望与你对呼吸的渴望一

样强烈的时候,你就会成功!”

I don't know how many of you got asthma here today. But if you had a asthma

attack before, you're short of breath, S.O.B, shortness of breath, you

only thing you trying to do is getting some air.

我不知道在座各位有得过哮喘的没有,如果你曾经有过这种病症,你感到气息不足,你会

像这样深呼吸并喘气!这时候你唯一想要的,就是去吸取新鲜空气!

You don't care about no basketball game, you don't care about what's on T.V.,

you don't care about nobody calling you, you don't care about a party. The only

thing you care about when you trying to breathe is getting some fresh air. That's it!

此时的你不会在意什么球赛,不会在意电视正在播什么,不会在意没人给你打电话,不会

在意派对上的琐事!这时候你在意的就是呼吸的点新鲜空气,这就是全部了!

And when you get to the point, where all you wanna do is being successful as

bad as you wanna breathe, then you'll be successful.

当你理解到自己对成功的渴望就像对呼吸的渴望一样时,你将会取得成功!

And I'm here to tell you NO.1, that most of you say you wanna be successful,

but you don't want it bad, you just kinda want it.

我想要告诉你们的一点是，你们好多人都说自己想要成功,但是你们真的很想吗,只是有

点想而已!

You don't want it badder than you want a party. You don't want it as much as

you want to be cool. You, most of you don't want success as much as you want

sleep. Some of you love sleep more than you love success.

你们对成功的渴望甚至不如对派对的渴望,不如对耍帅的渴望!你们中的大多数人对成

功的渴望甚至比不上对睡懒觉的渴望!

And I'm here to tell you today, if you're going to be successful you gotta be

willing to give up sleep.

今天我要告诉你,如果你真的想要成功,你就得有乐意去放弃睡觉的毅力!

You gotta be willing to work on for 3 hours of sleep or 2 hours, if you really

wanna be successful.

Some day you have to stay up 3 days in a row. Because if you go to sleep, you

might miss the opportunity to be successful. That's how bad you gotta want it.

渴望成功的人一天可能只休息两小时或者三小时!有时你甚至要连续三天不眠不休。因

为如果你这时候去睡觉,你也许会失去一些成功的机会。真正想成功的人就是这个样子！

You gotta go days without – LISTEN TO ME! You gotta want to be successful so

bad that you forget to eat.

你可能会好几天……你对成功的渴望会让你废寝忘食！

Beyonce said once she was on the set doing her things, three days had gone

by and she forgot that she didn't eat. 'Cause she was engaged.

碧昂斯说，她一坐下来做事，三天时间转眼过掉，她都忘了时间了，更别说吃饭了。

因为她做事太投入了。

I never forget, I wont— 50 Cent was doing his movie, I did a research on 50. 50

said that when he wasn't doing the movie, he was doing the soundtrack. And they

said, "When do you sleep? 50." "Sleep!?" he said, "Sleep, sleep is for those people

who are broke. I don't sleep. So I got an opportunity to make a dream become a

reality."

我始终记得，有一次50cent(美国饶舌歌手)拍mv的时候,我采访了他!他当时说，他如

果不在做mv的时候,也一定是在做他的录音带!然后就有人问他:：“50cent,那你什么时候

睡觉呢?”50cent说:“睡觉?只有破产的人才睡觉!我不睡觉,正因为这样，我才能实现我的

梦想!”

Don't cry quits! You're already in pain, you're already hurt. Get a reward from it.

Don't go to sleep until you succeed.

不要哭着喊着要放弃,既然已承受了挫伤,那就要努力获得补偿!不要想着吃饭睡觉，除

非你已经成功。

LISTEN TO ME! I'm here to tell you today, you can come here, you can jump up,

you can do flips and you can be excited when we give away money.

我告诉你们：今天你们到这可以左蹦右跳，如果我是到这派钱的，你们也可以表现的

很兴奋。

But listen to me, you will never be successful until I have to give you a dime to

do what you do. You won't be successful until you say, "I don't need that money,

'cause I got it here!"

但我跟你讲，如果你是一位我给了你1角才去做你做的事，你永远不会成功。你永远

不会成功直到你真心说：“我不需要那些钱，因为它已经在这了。”
