should never lose the ability .talking about the educatinal background and

ability, there is one people we cant

help thinking up , that is tang jun, who has been regarded as the “king of

employees”, but he lost his dream because joye said his educational

background is

fake . at this

moment ,sb said tang is nobody because he is without any educatinal

background ,

however others still said tang is sb because he iswithin the ability. ladies and

gentleman, what do you think? before answer it,

i want to ask another questions why are you sitting here today ? why am i

standing

here today? for

what ? educatinal background ? ability? i think both of them, every day we

work

hard for pursuing higher educatinal background directly or indirectly :

everyday we

experience xhallenges or difficulties to improve our ability consciously or

unconsciously. so ,today,i should say , we should own the educational

background as

well as the ability.

an investigation , now there are nearly 40% of graduates who are pure

bookworms,

only with the educational background , 30% are practitioners , only with high

ability but failed many courses until

graduation.

then one day we can have the key of high educational background to open the

door

of future, meanwhile , strengthen the ability to stand there highly and

respectivlyforever!

knowledge how can an isolated person be well-informed enough to go ahead

of others? if so,

that could be ridiculous. success is what one desires. so long as one is

perseverant,

hard working and up-to-date, i am sure success is near at hand.

2.. .success is what?what is success? this is an old topic. however, everyone’

s understanding of success is quite different. some people think that having

money,

house, car, a woman is successful. some people think that success is doing

something

that you want to do. some even deny the existence of success, he thinks this

world

is not successful, only the endless pursuit. so i want to make a new definition

of

success: success is something that people are very eager to do good things

gained

a sense of satisfaction and excitement. therefore, we do things, no matter big

and small, as long as you want to do, and

through your efforts made, and you happy, then you succeeded. do not look

too far

successful, they should not be too easy to see success, success requires your

effort.

those who believe that successful people do not exist, in fact, continue to

define

new goals, they will from what they have done to get happy, they succeeded.(

《英语演讲》教学大纲

英文名称:public speaking

一、课程目标

1. 课程性质

《英语演讲》课程是为外语系英语专业学生高年级阶段所开设的专业选修课。该课程旨在

培养学生的英语公众演讲能力,帮助学生进一步提高英语表达能力,并有利于其开拓思路、掌

握沟通技巧。通过该课程的学习,学生将从英语视、听、读、写、说等方面巩固和提高语言运

用技能,并通过教师的系统指导使其能够基本掌握英语演讲理论和技巧。通过向学生介绍有关

英语演讲与辩论的要领、策略、技巧及其发展历史,借助大量多媒体资料的观摩和课堂实践,

逐步培养、训练学生的口头交际能力和用英语进行流利演讲与思辨的能力,使其能够富有逻辑

地、艺术性地、策略性地、感人地、幽默地、流利地表达自己的观点,成功地说服听众。

2. 教学方法:交际法和合作学习法,教师课堂授课和学生课堂演讲实践相结合。

3. 课程学习目标和基本要求

本课程是为了让学生了解英语演讲技巧及其发展的历史;从理论上与实践上提高学生在公

共场合的英语演讲能力,使他们能够富有逻辑地、说服力地、艺术性地、策略性地、感人地、

幽默地、流利地表达自己的观点,成功地说服听众;学会演讲稿的写作方法;学会利用现代技

术进行演讲;通过分析中外名家的演讲,让学生了解演讲中的中西文化差异。本课程要求学生

通过一学期的学习,掌握英语演讲与辩论的中外历史、讲台艺术、演讲稿与辩论稿的写作方法

与修辞手段、演讲与辩论中的媒体辅助技术;通过课堂训练,学生能够大胆地、流利地、准确

地、富有技巧与逻辑地表达自己的思想观点;准确掌握并区分中、英文演讲的异同,更好地进

行对外交流。
