1.A spoiler is a device intended to reduce lift in an aircraft. Spoilers are plates on the top
surface of a wing which can be extended upward into the airflow and spoil it. Flaps are hinged
surfaces on the trailing edge of the wings. As flaps are extended, the stalling speed of the
aircraft is reduced, which means that the aircraft can fly safely at lower speeds (during takeoff
and landing). Slats are on the leading edge of the wings which, when deployed, allow the wing
to operate at a higher angle of attack. They are intended to reduce the stalling speed by
altering the airflow over the wing.

the air to drop to sub-zero levels.
