On drunk driving

Recently,durnk driving frequently occurred, which claimed a lot of lives

and caused great property loss. What caused so many tragic events?

In my opinion, the primary reason is the current lenient penalty. According to

Chinese law, drunk driving is regarded as mere traffic violation if no accidents

result. Since the penalty is light, people won’t realize how serious this behavior is

and won’t behave themselves .Another important reason is China’s

deep-rooted drinking culture . At a dinner table it’s very common to see people

urge others to drink .Even drivers cant’t skip drinking because refusing an

invitation to drink liquor can offend friends and relatives.

In order to crack down on drunk driving ,it’s necessary to make our laws

tougher and show zero tolerance to such murederous driving .What’s more

important ,we should raise public awareness of the threat of drunk driving on

others’lives.

Do you like konck-off products ?

Nowadys, knock-off products appeared inpiles here and there beacuse of

their stylishness and low prices .As to this phenomenon,people have different

opinions.

Advocates claim that first of all the knock-off products benefits consumers

because the authenic things are so expensive that the ordinary people cannot

afford them .With knock-off products ,more people at the grass roots level can

enjoy the benefit of modern technology. Besides, knock-offs imitate trendy design

and usually have multi-functional performance .What’s more, knock-offs can

enhance technology creation. Opponents, by contrast, firmly believe that

knock-off products should be forbidden because they violate intellectual

property laws and make the origin brands lose their market shares.

As far as I am concerned ,I side with the second opinion .We should think

twice before buying the knock-offs. Although they are similar to the original brand

in appearance ,they are often of low quality and lack durability .

On celebrity advertising for food products

Newly Appoved Food Safety Law says celebrities share responsibility for

advertising for food products that are found unsafe. This provision arouses great

concern from many stars and sparks heated discussion among general public .

Critics point out that the celebrities are not experts and they have no way of

completely being sure of the safey of a product they endorse. It’s unfair to let

them take the responsibility for food safety .Supporter ,however ,claim that the

celebrities are public figures and have vast social influence. Therefore ,they need to

be bound by the strict laws on what they are allowed to tell the public.

As far as I am concerned, the latter opinion holds more weight .Celebrities

exert great influence in people’s purchasing decisions .Thus it’s their duty to see

to it that the products they promote to see are safe and sound .

Should chinese athletes sereve overseas ?

Nowadays ,some top Chinese athletes drop Chinese nationality and

represent other countries to take part in the international games .As to this

phenomenon, people have various opinions.

Some people argue that those athletes who choose to play for other

countries are costs China a lot to train them .They are national

treasures and should show loyalty to our motherland .And this will cause

brain-drain and China maybe have bad performance in international competition .

But others hold the different opinion .They conted that sports should go beyond

national boundaries .It does’t matter which countries the athletes represent as

long as we can appreciate their excellent performance .

Personally, I am in favor of the second point of view .Everyone has the right

to choose nationality .Besides, today’s world is global .International exchange of

athletes and coaches has become quite natural .

No smoking in all public places

As is known to all ,somking is harmful to our health and can lead to cancer

and heart disease, so many countries around the world have banned smoking

in all public places .

This measure brings a lot of benefits to nonsmokers.A lot of research has

shown that secound-hand smoke is much more dangerous and put people at

increased risk of death from lung cancer, heart disease and other illnesses. Only

smoke-free areas can truly protect non-smokers from passive

smoking .Besides ,smoking is a cause of pollution .Many kinds of gases that are

released by smoking are harmful to the environment , such as tar and carbon

dioxide. However ,there are a lot of people who argue that the ban violates the

rights of smokers .The decision as to whether to smoke or not should be made up

to each individual.

In my viewpoint ,the ban is beneficial to us us. It can not only enhance public

health and improve our environment .It can also encourage smokers to smoke less

or give up.

Coping with the Aging Population

As birth rate declines and life expectancy is greatly expended, China faces

a serious problem of aging population ,which causes great concern to the

general public .

The aging population poses great challenges to our social

development .One of the direct results is a drop in the labor force supply. Labor

shortage will affect the productivity of the whole society and undermine the key

foundation of the country’s economic growth.. What’s more , young people

will face greater pressure of taking care of the elderly members because the

families become smallar and smaller .

Facing this grave situation ,our government should take effective

measures .On the one hand ,more nursing homes should be established in order

to offer the elderly better care and treatment. On the other hand ,sound social

security mechanism should be set up to guarantee the rigths and interest of the

aged . Only in this way can the senior citizens peacefully spend the last phase

of their life .

Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions everyone has to

make as it is the turning point of life . There are some people , of course ,who at

When searching for the right career, first and foremost we should consider is

ourselves .We should take into account our passion ,interests ,strengths and

weakness . Next ,we should consider current jod market situation. Make a

examine them from every angle before making the final decision .

Choosing a career is never an easy thing . Fortunately ,there are a lot of people

Social practice has become an important component of higher

education .More and more students participate in social practice activities by
