冠词a和an的用法及练习

a/an的用法区别

冠词a和ana/an在英语中被称为不定冠词。它 们表示一(个，只，本，件，块， 片。),在意义上没有区别。 用 a/an 时，我们必须记住两条基本 原则： ①a/an有不确定的意义。(即所说 的人、动物或东西对听者或读者来说 可能是不知道的)

例如：a book (一本书), an eraser(一块橡皮) 在英语中，液状、气状物体等很多都属于 不可数名词，前面不能够带有不定冠词。

例如cola 可乐，milk 牛奶，water 水和 gas 汽油，等等。

此外还需注意a和an的发音：

a(在平时讲话中发[ ]音),用于辅音(不是辅 音字母)之前；

an[ n]用于元音(以元音字母a,e,i, o,u开头的词大多都是)之前。

不定冠词a/an的用法规则

(1)不定冠词有有两种形式，a用在 以辅音开头的词前，an用在以元音 开头的词前 Eg: a man , a university, an egg, an hour,

(2)拼写以辅音字母开头读音却以元 音开头的单词 Eg :

hour, honest, honor等单词的 拼写虽然以辅音字母 h开头,但其读 音却以元音开头,因此,前面要用an An hour ago, an honest

man accepted an honorable task. (一小 时前,一位诚实的人接受了一项光荣 的任务。)

useful, university, usual, European, united, one-eyed, oneway (这些单词拼写虽然以元音字母开头, 但其读音却以辅音开头,因此,前面 要用a) 英文字母前用a还是用an的问题 在 26个英文字母中,a, e, i, o, f, h, l, m, n, r, s, x等12个字母的读音是以元音开头

不定冠词a/an用法

(1)用在第一次提到的人或物， 但不具体指明是哪一个 Eg:

(2) 指人或事物的某一种类(泛指)。 这是不定冠词a (an)的

基本用法。 Eg: She is a girl.

(5)用在感叹句中 what+(a/an)+adj.+n.+主语+谓语 +(it is).

(6)不可数名词和复数名词前不用 Eg:Cats are afraid of dogs

(猫怕狗) (7)表示数量，有“一”的意思，但 数的概念没有one强烈。如： I have a mouth, a nose and two eyes.
