take表示“花费”时的句型结构
一、take表示“花费”时常指花费时间，可用以下五种句型结构：
1．It+take+sb+some time+to do sth，如：
It took him an hour and a half to write the letter．
It takes him half an hour to eat his meal．
2．把不定式的逻辑主语放在不定式之前，再在其前加 for。即：
It+take+some time+for sb+to do sth，如：
It took an hour for him to repair his bike．
3．用sb做主语。即：
sb+take+some time+to do sth，
He took ten minutes to put on his clothes．
4．用 sth做主语。即：
sth takes sb some time to do，如：
The newspaper took him two hours to read．
5．用动名词做主语。即：
Doing sth takes sb some time，如：
Swimming across the river took him ten minutes．
二、take表示花费时也可指花费金钱，表示“某人花费多少钱做某事其句
型结构与时间相同，有五种。
1．It+take+sb+some money+to do sth，如：
It took him a lot of money to buy a house as big as that．
2．It+take+some money+for sb+to do sth，如：
It took￡ 12 for me to buy that coat．
我花了12镑买了那件大衣。
3．sb+take+some money+to do sth，如：
I took ￡ 12 to buy that coat．
4．sth+take+sb+some money+to do，如：
That coat took me ￡ 12 to buy．
5．doing sth+take+sb+some money，如：
Buying that coat took me ￡ 12．
三、take除了花费时间、金钱外，还可指其他花费。如：
It takes more than a long walk to become a hero．
要成为英雄，不单单走很长路就够了。
It takes two to make a quarrel．
两个人才吵得起来。
