few与little的用法

一、few和little的基本用法

1. Few是“少数的，几个”的意思，常修饰可数名词复数形式。例如：

- There were few people at the party.（聚会上来了很少人。）

- I have a few friends in this city.（我在这座城市有几个朋友。）

2. Little是“少量的”或“几乎没有”的意思，常修饰不可数名词。例如：

- She has little time to relax.（她没有太多时间放松。）

二、few和little与其它短语的搭配用法

1. A few和a little

a) A few表示“一些”或“几个”，强调数量不多但足够。

- He ate a few slices of pizza for lunch.（他午餐吃了几片比萨饼。）

- We received a few complaints about the noise.（我们收到了几个关于噪音的

投诉。）

b) A little表示“一点点”或“稍微”，强调数量虽小但仍然存在。

- Can I have a little more sugar in my coffee, please?（请给我咖啡中加点糖吗？）

- She had a little difficulty understanding the instructions.（她在理解指令时稍微

有点困难。）

2. Quite a few和quite a little

a) Quite a few表示“相当多”或“许多”，强调数量比预期的要多。

- Quite a few people attended the concert last night.（昨晚有相当多的人参加了

音乐会。）

- We've received quite a few applications for the job position.（我们收到了这个

职位的许多申请。）

b) Quite a little表示“相当多”或“很多”，强调数量比预期的要多。

三、few和little与否定词连用

1. Few与not连用，表示“几乎没有”或“很少有”。例如：

- Few people do not enjoy traveling.（很少有人不喜欢旅行。）

- There are few countries that do not have any national parks.（几乎没有国家没

2. Little与not连用，表示“几乎没有”或“很少有”。例如：

四、few和little在数量描述中的应用

1. Fewer与fewest

式。

- We need fewer supplies for this project than we initially thought.（我们对这个

- Fewest表示“最少的”的意思，指比较三个或多个数量时可用于修饰可数名

词复数形式。

- This team has the fewest goals against them in the league.（该队在联赛中失球

最少。）

2. Less与least

- Less表示“更少”，指比较两个数量时可用于修饰不可数名词。

用更少盐量；盐过量对健康不好。）
