BESIDES vs EXCEPT vs APART FROM
BESIDES:
◆ Preposition: besides + noun/gerund
◆ 介词：besides + 名词/动名词
◆ In addition to (+ plus)
◆ 除了……之外，还……，做加法，表示的是一种累加的关系。
★ Besides English, he speaks French and Italian.
★ 除了英语，他还会说法语和意大利语。
★ Besides glassware and ornaments, this store sells jewelry.
★ 除了卖玻璃制品和装饰品之外，这家店还卖珠宝。
★ We have lots of things in common besides music.
★ 除了音乐以外，我们还有很多共通点。
★ Do you play any sports besides basketball?
★ 除篮球以外，你还做其他运动吗？
