My View on Reducing Carbon Emission -我对节能减排的看法

Every year billion tons of carbon dioxide is added into the air,

which in part results in global warming and climate change. Now

we are live in the world that is filled with pollution. As far as I am

concerned, we should reduce carbon emission.

First, we can adopt different ways to solve the problem if it

is convenient for us, such as going to work by bus. There is no

doubt that it can cut down the pollution and improve our

environment. What’s more, it is cheaper, comparing with other

ways. Second, there are different kinds of trees which can absorb

carbon dioxide, so we also need plant more trees around us. At

the same time, our government should pay attention to take

action to improve our living quality.

It is our duty to reduce carbon emission, but it is also a long

way for us to achieve it. No matter how hard the condition will

be, I think if we try our best together. Maybe the problem can be

solving someday, because carbon emission is a focus of the world.

每年数十亿吨二氧化碳排放到空气中,这在一定程度上导致了全球

变暖和气候变化。现在我们生活在充满污染的`世界。我个人认为,我们

应该减少碳排放。

首先, 如果对我们方便的话，我们可以采用不同的方式解决这个问

题,比如乘公共汽车去上班。 无疑问,这种方式可以减少污染,改善我们

的环境。更重要的是,与其他交通方式相比，它更便宜。其次，不同种

类的树木可以吸收二氧化碳,所以我们还需要种植 更多的树。与此同时,

我们的政府应该注意采取行动来改善我们的生活质量。

减少碳排放是我们的责任,但对我们来说实现它也是一个漫长的过

程。无论条件多么艰难,如果我们一起努力，也许有一天这个问题可以

得以解决，因为碳排放是世界的焦点。

Water-水资源

People can't imagine life without water. Without it， the

earth we live on would be a dead one. There would be no trees，

no crops， no animals and no people. So water is considered to

be next to oxygen in importance.

Although nearly three quarters of the earth's surface is

covered with water， it is sea water and undrinkable. The

demand for water is increasing， while water resources are scarce.

Agricultural production needs enormous amounts of water， so

does industry. Besides，the rapid growth of population makes it

more and more difficult for people to survive because of the

water shortage. So water shortage has become one of the most

serious problems.

Fortunately， people have realized this pressing problem

and are trying to find ways to salve it. First， people are urged to

economize on water. Second， measures are taken to protect

water resources. Third， circulating water is used for industrial

purposes over and over in factovies and treated sewage water is

used for irrigation in farming land.

Conservation-Oriented Society-节约型社会

Dear fellow students,

Our government is aiming to build a “conservation-

oriented society” (节约型社会). I think it is every citizen’s duty

to achieve this goal.

As high students, what should we do?

We should focus our attention on details around ourselves.

We should form the habit of saving water, especially when we

brush our teeth and wash hands, and never leave water running

unnecessarily. Meanwhile, we ought to save electricity. When we

leave classrooms or our homes we should make sure that the

light and some electrical equipments have been turned off. Do

never make the light on in the daytime if unnecessary.

We should also save our every piece of paper as well as other

writing materials. What’s more, we should offer to recommend

our relatives and friends as well as our parents to save energy.

Dear fellow students, let’s start right now, and spare no

effort to do every little bit from every tail on!
