BDP-93 NE Self Upgrade Instruction

Here is the OPPO BDP-93

First Step: Remove the screws at both sides of the machine.

Second Step:

Remove the highlighted screws and lift the cover from the machine.

Third Step: Remove the highlighted screws and the AC Socket by

unclipping the highlighted plugs. Cut the highlighted zip-tie.

Fourth Step: Remove the AC Socket and the green OPPO board.

If you are not replacing the AC Socket with optional 3-pin Socket,

loosen it so to allow for easy removal of the OPPO board.

Fifth Step: Remove the contents of the upgrade kit, including the serial-number sticker in the

small bag. Note that the 3-pin AC Socket is optional. If you are using a tube preamp with no

ground, then you should request for the 3-pin AC Socket.

Sixth Step: Install the NE board at the same spot and replace the original OPPO board. Replace

all screws and plugs. Lastly, install the AC Socket, using the zip-tie to locate the cable.

Seventh Step: Replace the top cover. The upgrade kit’s silver NE sticker is optional. If you

choose to use it, place it on the front panel. Slowly peel off the label’s paper strip by following

the illustration below.

Final Step: Upgrade your OPPO’s firmware if a new version is available.
