一、重点单词：

1. race竞赛、赛跑、种族、民族、跑、与……赛跑。

短语：race against time 争取时间；race to do something 跑去做某事；race

用法：①race指种族整体概念时是不可数名词,指一个具体的种族时是可数名词。如：

申可作“竞争”解。

③race可用作不及物动词,也可用作及物动词。用作及物动词时,接名词或代词作宾语。

②brand用作动词的基本意思是“打烙印于,以烙铁打”,用于比喻可作“铭刻”解,引
