though作为副词的用法
though 除了用作连接词引导让步状语从句外，还可用作副
词，意为“可是”、 “不过”、
“然而”， 表示语气上的转折，常位于句末或句中。
副词 though 位于句末，通常需在其前面用短号点开，表示
对前面一个分句意义上的转折。
例如：
The work assigned to me is really formidable; I’d like to meet
the challenge, though.
分配给我的工作确实十分艰巨，可是我乐于迎接挑战。
I can't stay, I'll have a coffee, though.
我不能多逗留，不过我可喝杯咖啡再走。
I've a bit of headache. It's nothing much, though.
我有一点头痛，不过并不厉害。
No, it doesn't hurt in any way. It tickles like hell, though.
一点都不痛，不过倒是蛮痒的。
Two heart attacks in a year. It hasn't stopped him smoking,
though.
一年内心脏病发作两次，不过这并没有阻止他吸烟。
I should steer clear of the throw-it-all-in-a-pot philosophy,
though.

It is true that the old road is a bit longer. We won't take the
