PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface buffer which prevents through-

current of a power detector circuit, and allows its output to be fixed.

SOLUTION: The buffer comprises a core circuit 8 operating on an operating voltage

1.5 V from a power source V1 for the core circuit; an interface circuit 10, operating from

the power source V1 and on an operating voltage 3.3 V from an interface power source

V2 for providing a level-shifted output 103, upon the receipt of an output 102 from the

core circuit 8; and a power detector circuit 1, operating according to on/off switching of

the power source V1, V2 for controlling the output of the interface circuit 10. A level shift

circuit 2 in the power detector circuit 1 consists of an inverter 3, having N-channel

transistors 14, 15 connected in a two-longitudinal stage form to the power source V2,

thereby preventing the through-current of the power detector circuit 1.
