At the 7-Eleven Store
One night, while I was working in the 7-Eleven Store, I saw
an old woman walking as if each step were painful. She slowly
pushed open the glass door. The moment she entered, she
presented a sharp contrast to the store. The store had bright
lighting and neatly arranged shelves. On such a cold night, she
was wearing only an old dress, a thin sweater too small to button
and a pair of black slippers.
After walking around the aisle for several minutes, the old
woman stopped in front of the rows of canned vegetables. She
picked up a can of corn and looked at the label. I decided to be
a good employee and asked her if she needed help. As I stood
close to her, my smile became harder to maintain. Her hands
were covered with layer upon layer of dirt, and the smell of sweat
rose from her clothes.
“Can I help you?” I asked brightly.
“I need some food,” she muttered.
“Are you looking for corn, madam?”
“I need some food,” she repeated. “Any kind.”
“Well, the corn is ninety-five cents,” I said in my most
helpful voice.
“I can’t pay,” she said.
For a second, I was tempted to say, “Take the corn.” But the
employee rules said, “Remain polite, but do not let customers
get the best of you”. For a moment, I even believed that this
woman was someone from the head office testing my loyalt y. I
replied, “I’m sorry, ma’am, but I can’t give away anything
for free.”
The old woman’s hands trembled as she put the can back
on the shelf. She hobbled past me toward the door. Her torn and
dirty clothing barely covered her bent back.
For the rest of my shift, the image of the woman stayed in
my mind. I was young and healthy, while she was old and sick. I
wished with all my heart that I had acted like a human being
rather than a robot.

come in and have something to eat.”
“We do not go into a house together,” they replied.

A Reason, a Season and a Lifetime
We meet thousands of people in our life. Some come into
our life for a reason, some for a season, and some for a lifetime.
When you figure out which it is, you will know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to
meet a need you have expressed inwardly or outwardly. They
have come to help you out of a difficulty, or to provide you with
guidance and support.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at a certain
time, this person will say or do something to bring the
relationship to an end. Sometimes they die; sometimes they just
walk away; and sometimes they force you to do something that
you do not like.
When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is time for
you to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience
of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you
have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount
of joy, but only for a season. LIFETIME friendships are based on
trust and understanding between you and your friend. Together,
you have gone through good times as well as bad times. Lifetime
friendships teach you lifetime lessons. And your job is to accept
the lessons and love the people who teach you how to be good.
So, what is a lifetime friend? It is a single soul in two bodies.

running on a flat surface.

Script:
Jogging
These days it is not easy to find the time to exercise.
Nonetheless, doing exercise regularly can help you live a
healthier and happier life. Jogging is a great way to get at least
part of the exercise your body needs, and most healthy
individuals are capable of jogging without the need to buy
special exercise equipment.
There are a few jogging tips to keep in mind if you plan to
take advantage of these benefits. The
first tip is that running should ideally be an aerobic exercise.
Starting off, you should find a pace at which you can jog for about
half an hour. Try to keep this pace each time you jog until you
have worked your way up to a full hour. Then, if you still want to
keep building endurance, begin to increase your pace. Always be
careful not to push yourself too hard; doing so can be dangerous,
especially if you are jogging alone.
Once you have gained enough strength and endurance and
started to consider increasing your pace, however, you should
consider other options first. Anyone who knows great jogging
tips can tell you that jogging, though great exercise, is not always
good to your knees. Consider jogging on a route that takes you
up more hills if you are looking for a more intense workout.
Running downhill is actually worse for your knees than running
on a flat surface.
In addition, it is important to be hydrated when you jog, but
you should not have a stomach full of water. Wait at least thirty
minutes after drinking any fluids or eating to start jogging. Also
be careful jogging in extreme heat or cold. If it is hot, drink extra
water and stop to rest if you feel faint. If it is cold, make sure your
hands and feet are protected and try to breathe through your
nose as much as possible to warm your breath before it reaches
your lungs. Jogging can be a great form of exercise, but you
should always do it safely.

▇Answers:
1) A survey in the UK found recently that a third of tee nagers

in preventing the spread of HIV.
2) There are TWO processes to prevent new HIV infections:

Script:
AIDS Education
Each year there are more and more new HIV infections. This
shows that people either aren’t learning the message about the
dangers of HIV, or are unable or unwilling to act on it. Many
people are dangerously ignorant about the virus. A survey in the
UK found recently that a third of teenagers thought there was a
“cure” for AIDS. So education is important in preventing the
spread of HIV.
There are three main reasons for AIDS education, the first of
which is to prevent new infections from taking place. This actually
consists of two processes: first, giving people information about
HIV — what HIV and AIDS are, how they are transmitted, and how
people can protect themselves from infections; then teaching
people how to put this information to use and act on it practically.
A second reason is to improve the quality of life for HIV-positive people. Too often, AIDS education is only aimed at how
to curb the HIV infection. But the needs of HIV-positive people
are often neglected. HIV-positive people have varying needs, but
among them are the need to be able to get medical services and
drug supplies and the need to be able to find appropriate
emotional and practical support and help.
The third reason is to reduce fear. In many countries there is
a great deal of fear of people who are HIV-positive. In some
extreme cases in India, AIDS patients were burned to death. Fear
can only help AIDS to spread. You see, if people are fearful of
being tested for HIV, then they are more likely to pass the
infection to someone else without knowing it. So AIDS education
benefits both AIDS patients and the rest of the community.

Before signing up for an online course or program, however,
