1. late adj&adv迟到的；lately adv最近地（recently完成时的
标志）

比较级： later adj 稍后的；重点短语： later on 后来

Latter adj后者重点短语：the former ; the latter前者；后者
记忆方法： later+t
t 是稍后一些的（later）所以说 t 是后者
最高级： Latest adj 最新的 the latest product 最新产品
