I have a stomachache.

I have a sore back.

I have a cold.

Have a the names of the illness.

Enable students to talk about health problems

(1) Improve the cooperative spirit through pairwork and role playing.

(2) Students care more about themselves and their family member’s

health.

II. Teaching key points

(1) Learn and master the parts of the body and the names of illness.

(2) Learn to talk about the problems by using the target languages

Learn to talk about health problems by using the target languages.

Task-based, teaching method. the cooperative learning method,

multimedia-assisted teaching and learning method

VI. Teaching procedures:

StepI: sing the English song If you’re happy.

stepII: presentation

T: This is really a beautiful song. What can you do if you’re happy?

Ss: Clap our hands and stamp our feet.

T: Yes. Hands and feet are parts of the body. Do you know other

parts of body in English?

Ss: eye, head….

T: You’re great. Today let’s learn the names of your body parts.

Now please look at the picture of pan Changjiang on the screen. Let

students say each part of the body.

Activity1: Play the game: touch the parts of your body

Activity2: Work on sectionA 1a

stepIII: Presentation and practice

The teacher mimes having a stomachache with an action of touching

her stomach and asks“what’s the mater? (write it on the

blackboard.)And say I’m not feeling well. I have a stomachache

(students repeat it.)

Then show some pictures on the screen and ask students to practise

them.

Activity3: Pairwork

(1) Have one student to use gestures to show illness and the other

guess it .

(2) Ask students to talk about health problems by using the third

persons in the pictures .

stepIV: Listen and say

T: Now please look at the picture on the you tell me

where they are?

Ss:…

T: How many people can you see? How many people are not feeling

well?

Ss:…..

T: Do you know their names? How did you learn their names?

Ss: No…

Activity4:

(1) Work on sectionA1b and check it together.

(2) Listen again and finish the form table.

(3) Pairwork: role play according to the form table.

(4) Groupwork: work in groups of 6

One student as a nurse ask the other students’ health problems and

make notes. Then make a report to the class.

stepV: Videos(Explain the key and difficult points)

stepVI: Summary:

Ask students to sum up the parts of a body and the names of illness.

And how to ask and state the health problems.

stepVIII: Homework

Make a survey about your family’s health problem.

教学反思:

本节课在教学中注意利用图片和教师的动作,从感官上刺激学生

能很宽抓住学生的注意力,再通过学生小组表给学生充分表现自

己的机会,充分体现教学中的主体地位,通过病人和医生的游戏

巩固了所学知识,最后通过布置调查的作业让学生将课堂所学知

识在现实生活中得以应用。
