写节日的英语作文 篇4

China has many traditional festivals among the year. But I like

Mid-Autumn Festival the most. It means harvest, because it is

celebrated in the harvest season. And it is the time for famers to

express their thanks for harvest. In addtion, it’s the day for

reunion. Some people call it Tuanyuanjie. The people work or

study far away from home will e back to get-together with their

families. They will eat a big meal and mooncake at that time. I

hate parting but love reunion. So Mid-Autumn Day is my favorite

festival.

写节日的英语作文 篇5

The Laba Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated

on the eighth day of the twelfth month of the lunar Chinese

calendar. "La" is the name given to the 12th lunar month and 8 is

pronounced as "ba" in Chinese, which translated is "Laba." There

are several legends about the origin of this festivity and we could

not tell which one is true. But what we know today is that this

festival started as a sacrificial offering to ancestors. It was also a

time for the ancient Chinese to pray to heaven and earth that

there would be a bountiful harvest. Many people hoped for good

luck as well for the coming year.

Traditionally, the Laba rice porridge is the most important

element of the festival. Generally, the porridge contains eight

ingredients which can include glutinous rice, red beans, millet,

Chinese sorghum, peas, dried lotus seeds and some other

ingredients, such as dried dates, chestnut meat, walnut meat,

almond, peanut, etc. The porridge must be boiled for many hours

and then offered as a sacrifice to the ancestors. This must be

done before noontime. Also, it is tradition that family members

eat the porridge together. Then they leave some as a symbol of

hope for a good harvest the coming year.

Another custom is the soaking of Laba garlic. Garlic is soaked

in vinegar for more than twenty days starting from Laba festival.

Then when the Chinese New Year comes, the garlic and vinegar

is used alongside jiaozi on the table.

写节日的英语作文 篇6

The annual New Year's day is here. It's my favorite holiday.

My father took me to the xinhua bookstore in the morning. I

went to the bookstore and ran to the second floor to read my

age book. I opened an encyclopedia, and there is so much

knowledge! I know that people can only see 6974 stars with the

naked eye. I also know that stars can predict the weather, people

often say that the stars blink, rain is not far, and sometimes it is

very efficacious. If the stars blink more than 70 times a minute, it

might rain! I opened the adventure story, and the explorers in it

were brave enough to venture into the yarlung zangbo grand

canyon. Their brave spirit deserves our study. At noon, I was

reluctant to leave the bookstore.

In the afternoon, I put on roller skates to go down to play, I

came down a big bend, a good risk, almost fell! I played with a

few friends on roller skates, and I was a referee. At the command,

I slid forward. I was glad to be on my head, when suddenly my

friend ran after me, I was accelerated, my friends were

overwhelmed. To the end, yeah! I won, and my friend will be

punished -- just to slip and circle the neighborhood.

My father allowed me to go online for an hour at night. I'm

so happy! When I got to QQ, someone came to me and asked me

to send him a card. I said yes. I entered QQ mailbox, chose a child

to shoot the scene, write: happy New Year, happy every day! He

also sent a message that said, "I'm so happy to wear good

things."

My favorite New Year's day has passed, and I look forward to

the arrival of New Year's day next year.

写节日的英语作文 篇8

Spring Festival is my favorite among all the Chinese

traditional festival. The first reason why I love it the most is

because I can get lucky money on that festival. It is the Chinese

custom that the old will give children lucky money on Spring

Festival to wish a good luck for the young generation. Moreover,

people everywhere on those days are full of happiness. Quarrel,

fight and abuse are almost disappeared at that time. Meanwhile,

my mother will make a big meal for us to celebrate. Everyone will

forget the unhappy thing they meet, instead remembering to

appreciate life to wish a better future. That is my favorite festival.

写节日的英语作文 篇9

The August Moon Festival or Mid-Autumn Festival (Chinese

characters above) is one of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is

held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. Chinese legends say

that the moon is at its brightest and roundest on this day. Based

on the Gregorian calendar, this year's August Moon Festival will

be held on September 19.

The August Moon Festival is often called the Women's

Festival. The moon (Chinese character on right) symbolizes

elegance and beauty. While Westerners worship the sun (yang or

male) for its power, people in the Far East admire the moon. The

moon is the 'yin' or female principle and it is a trusted friend.

Chinese parents often name their daughters after the moon, in

hope that they will be as lovely as the moon.

ending festivals produces several disadvantages such as

money wasting and transportation overloading. But we cannot

disregard its other side: traditional festivals play an active role in

our life. Traditional festivals not only bring joy but also bring the

family together, which is so priceless in modern society.

What we should do is to preserve the positive things and

make them flourish in the modern world. As for the negative

aspects of it, we should not hesitate to abandon them and

prevent them from affecting and troubling us and the next

generation.

My favorite festival is Christmas Day. It’s not the trditional

for Chinese. It’s for the foreigners, which Christmas Day is to

them what Spring Festival is us. But with the development of the

society, more and more foreigners come to China. And then it is

popular in China. I feel excited to see the Cristmas decoration

and Christmas trees. I also like Santa Claus, who will give

Christmas present for us under the table. And people will

say ”Merry Cristmas” to each other on that day. It is wonderful

to have a foreign festival.

写节日的英语作文 篇12

When the Dragon Boat Festival, a primary school student

didn't know why to eat zongzi, we worried; When it comes to

double ninth festival, a middle school student doesn't know that

the poet is thinking about when the poet is feeling. When the

Mid-Autumn festival, a moon cake sold for eight thousand eight

hundred eight hundred eighty-eight hundred, we grieved. Thus,

I suddenly realized that behind the loss of traditional festivals, it

was the loss of our traditional culture. With the pomp and bustle

of commerce, our traditional culture is being nibbled at one point,

It is our indifference to the traditional culture, the

ignorance of our traditional culture, that we have abandoned it

and buried it with our own hands.

Traditional festivals cry!

Traditional culture is crying!

Traditional Chinese are crying!

In the sound of sobbing, the qu zi gradually sank, the chang

'e gradually gaunt, the weaver girl gradually faded. It was all

sobbing, slowly disappearing, until it was hard to find.

The traditional festival, I worry for you, for you!

写节日的'英语作文 篇13

A new year ,a new start, when I stand on the edge of the a

new year, I can't help thinking about my plan of next year. Just as

the old saying:“Well began is the half of the success.”So I

decide that I should be at work while the others are still

relaxing ,and then ,at the beginning ,I'm quicker than the others

and of course I will get better result than the others. But ,what I

really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can

spare though it seems impossible. While, I will do my best to live

up with what I have planned, and the result will prove it.

写节日的英语作文 篇16

On New Year's Eve,our class had a party. The atmosphere

was good. It was out of the ordinary from the very begining. The

boy student from one bedroom gave an unusual performance.

We saw a boy named Li Xinmin turn off all the lights in a sudden

snap. Then with three resounding(响亮的) crow of a cock

echoing in the hall, the hall was again brightly lit in a snap.

Then, the representative of the bedroom Zhu Guozhang

asked us to guess a line of a poem related to the above situation.

He added that Li Xinmin alone was born in the year of the dog

and the other three were all born in the year of the chicken. They

left us all in confusion. And it was our monitor who was

quickwitted(机智的). He shouted our, "The day breaks as the

cock crows three times at dawn." The hall After that, they had

another item. This time Li Xinmin was placed in the middle of the

circle. While he was standing there, the other three stood

around him, each bowing down to him at an angle of 120

degrees. It was an idiom. This time I got it right:"The dog stands

out among a group of chickens."

写节日的英语作文 篇17

In the past few years, more and more people like to watch

the Spring-Fest Evening Party in the last day of one year. It seems

that became the most important part in their lives. But nowadays

some one suggests we should cancel it and get something

instead of it because they feel it so boring. In my point of view, I

think it should be not cancelled.
